Multiple Texas churches have rallied around the Texas community after the May 6 mall shooting.
One church that is central to this effort is Prestonwood Baptist Church. Three of Saturday’s victims were connected to the church’s private school. In making that announcement, Pastor Jack Graham reminded his congregation that God uses Christians in these tragic moments.
Meanwhile, Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen hosted a prayer vigil on Sunday that drew more than 2,000 people. Local government officials attended, as well as Governor Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton.
Pastor John Mark Caton urged attendees to respond to the tragedy by sharing the gospel.
Some churches are doing just that. On the day of the shooting, Christians went to the mall to share water, the gospel, and prayers with people.
