Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) claims he has proof that Secretary of State Antony Blinken lied to Congress in 2020 about contacting Hunter Biden.

“Antony Blinken finally did come in and sit down for a voluntary transcribed interview in December of 2020 because he wanted to be secretary of state,” Johnson said during a “Sunday Morning Futures” interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo.

“And now, because of more information that’s come out, we know that he lied bold-faced to Congress about never e-mailing Hunter Biden,” he continued. “My guess is, he told a bunch of other lies, that, hopefully, we will be able to bring him and his wife back in, tell them to preserve their records.”

This comes as the House Judiciary and Intelligence committees recently released a letter in which Republican chairs accused Blinken of organizing the creation of the 2020 letter in which dozens of former intelligence officials stated the Hunter Biden laptop story bore the markings of Russian disinformation.

When asked if Blinken lied under oath, Johnson said, “Yes, he did. He said he did not e-mail Hunter Biden. And now we have those e-mails,” and said Blinken’s wife was acting as a “a conduit between her husband and Hunter Biden as well.”

Johnson does not have subpoena power and is calling on Blinken to testify voluntarily.

“He ought to come in just voluntarily if he wants to proclaim his innocence. I doubt he will do that. But he must and she must preserve their records, their personal e-mails,” he said. “We need to get to the bottom of this. We need to show how corrupt these individuals are.”
