Pro-life efforts continue to be a priority for conservative states.

Nebraska governor Jim Pillen signed a bill yesterday limiting abortions to 12 weeks. Meanwhile, Republicans in North Carolina are trying to pass a heartbeat bill.

Governor Pillen called Nebraska’s pro-life bill “the most significant win for social conservative agenda in over a generation.” He said hat the bill is simply about “protecting our kids and saving babies.”

In addition, the bill also bans transgender surgeries on people age 18 and younger.

Meanwhile South Carolina is expected to debate its abortion bill today. Critics say that the recently amended 6 week ban may not be a straightforward victory

A few GOP members vowed to resist the bill. It remains unclear if the bill will pass.
