Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ battle with Disney may be critical to his potential path to the White House. DeSantis has not yet announced his presidential campaign yet, but is expected to do so soon.

His history of opposing left-wing policies, best highlighted by his ongoing Disney feud, will be front and center. Especially as Disney just filed a lawsuit claiming the DeSantis weaponized the government.

This comes after DeSantis moved to take away Disney’s special district status after the company publicly opposed Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill. But DeSantis doesn’t seem too concerned.

A recent Reuters-Ipsos poll shows it’s a tricky situation for DeSantis to navigate. 44% of Republicans appreciate DeSantis taking on Disney But 63% of Republicans are also less likely to support a candidate who punishes companies for differing views.
