This deadly storm season continues after multiple states in the south were struck by new tornados over the weekend.

Tragically, there have been 32 deaths reported so far in 9 different states. There have been countless injuries and intense destruction to buildings. This leaves some communities with a long road of recovery ahead of them.

For example, President Biden declared a “major disaster” for Arkansas on Sunday, where the mayor of Little Rock says over 2,100 homes were damaged in that community alone. The state reported five of the deaths.

Governor Sarah Huckabee praised Little Rock firefighters for their dedication to preserving lives, even after their own station was struck by one twister.

Families in Tennessee are also mourning the loss of 9 lives from the storm.

The South will have severe weather again tomorrow, this time impacting states from Texas to Illinois. The National Weather Service said to expect large hail, damaging wind, and the potential for strong tornados.
