At the turn of the 19th Century, America was at the forefront of the changing western world. Following Industrial Revolutions and a bloody Civil War, William McKinley found himself as the last president to sit in the White House during the 19th Century. As the 25th President of the United States,  he was also the final Civil War veteran to lead the nation.
