Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp declared a state of emergency yesterday after the state was hit by severe storms and multiple tornadoes.
The National Weather Service is also warning of severe weather in Georgia today. Kemp’s announcement came hours after President Biden declared a major disaster in Mississippi following Friday’s tornado that left 26 dead.
Meanwhile private charities, like Samaritan’s Purse, are also stepping in to help. The organization’s president, Franklin Graham, says the people are in desperate need of hope.
