A high-profile pastor is asking for prayer from Christians around the world. On Sunday, author and speaker Tim Keller gave a Facebook update on his ongoing battle with cancer, revealing that new tumors have developed.

Diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer in 2020, the New York City pastor and co-founder of the Gospel Coalition shared that despite the brutal nature of cancer he would “never want to go back.” Keller said that the journey has improved his prayer life and dependency on God.

Last year he received immunotherapy that “was successful in eradicating 99% of the tumors.” But with the latest health update, Keller says he will need to go through treatment again.

He said on Facebook – “Please pray for our trust and dependence on God …. AND for our desire to glorify God in whatever comes our way.”
