The NCAA men’s basketball March Madness tournament begins week after yesterday’s Selection Sunday Show, as 68 universities look to compete for the national championship.

One notable storyline is the placement of the defending champion Kansas Jayhawks. These past 2 seasons, there was some controversy between the NCAA and the university over an alleged corruption scandal in the men’s basketball program.

Kansas still landed a number 1 seed, but NCAA officials placed them in the Western regional bracket, which oddsmakers feel is the most difficult in the tournament.

The tournament begins with the “First Four” round on Tuesday and Wednesday night, and then the marathon round of 64 follows with 12 straight hours of basketball Thursday and Friday, beginning in early afternoon.
