Newly released results from a Rasmussen Reports national survey found that a majority of U.S. voters believe that the Biden family has been selling access to Joe Biden to foreign entities for years.
In a national survey of 1,000 U.S. likely voters, conducted January 26-29, 2023, respondents were asked:
“Do you agree or disagree that members of the Biden family ‘have been influence-peddling for a decade’?”
Fifty-nine percent (59%) of voters said that they agreed with that assessment, including 46% who “strongly” agreed that the Bidens “have been influence-peddling for a decade.” Thirty-one percent (31%) disagreed (18% “strongly”), while 10% said they were “not sure.”
House Oversight Committee chair James Comer (R-Ky.) said Monday that the Oversight and Accountability Committee will launch hearings on alleged Biden family influence peddling next week, according to a CNSNews report.
Comer and other Republicans, including Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), first announced the investigation into the Biden family in November. They spoke at a press conference about how President Biden’s son Hunter had connections with numerous foreign businesses, including companies in China and Ukraine, and how the President has allegedly been involved in deals with those entities.
“Whistleblowers described President Biden as ‘chairman of the board’ for these businesses. He personally participated in meetings and phone calls,” Comer claimed. “Documents show that he was a partner with access to an office. To be clear, Joe Biden is ‘The Big Guy.’ This evidence raises troubling questions about whether President Biden is a national security risk and about whether he is compromised by foreign governments.”
