Pro-abortion activist group Jane’s Revenge allegedly threatened to carry out a mass shooting at a Nebraska Catholic Ministry if an abortion ban passes in the city of Bellevue.
Kristan Hawkins, president of the pro-life group Students for Life of America, took to Twitter to reveal the shocking contents of a note she claimed was found taped to the door of the St. John Paul II Newman Center, a Catholic campus ministry located next to the University of Nebraska Omaha, on Dec. 3. The student-led group had been holding a political leadership conference at the church at the time the alleged incident took place.
“If our right to abortion in Bellevue is taken away due to the attempt to pass an abortion ban and it gets passed we will shoot up your Newman center with our new AR74 rifles,” the note read. The letter was allegedly signed by Jane’s Revenge, a militant pro-abortion activist group that has claimed responsibility for multiple acts of vandalism at pregnancy help centers and churches nationwide in response to the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision overturning federal abortion rights.
“This morning in Nebraska, our team arrived for our @SFLAction Political Leadership Workshop where we are gathering activists from across the state to strategize about how to use @studentsforlife’s Campaign for Abortion Free Cities to shut down the late-term abortion facility in the state,” Hawkins began.
“When we arrived, a death threat via guns from Jane’s Revenge was posted on the door. We’ve called the police and are scrambling to make it safe.”

Students for Life of America describes itself as “one of the leading pro-life advocacy organizations in the world,” with chapters on college and high school campuses nationwide, according to its website.
The Catholic student center had given the group permission to use the site as a venue for its conference, where members discussed a campaign to add Bellevue to a list of eight other cities in Nebraska that have passed ordinances declaring themselves to be “sanctuary cities for the unborn” and prohibiting the life-ending procedure within their respective boundaries.
Hawkins said that “we are headed toward tragedy” if the U.S. Justice Department does not take action to protect peaceful pro-life activists from pro-choice terrorists, The Christian Post reported.
St. John Paul II Newman Center Director Rev. Dan Andrews, to whom the note was addressed, responded to the alleged threat in a statement Saturday.
“This obviously causes us great concern. Our number one priority is the safety of our students,” he said. “We are thankful for [University of Nebraska Omaha] Police’s prompt response and attention to this threat.”
Jane’s Revenge has gained national prominence in the months following Politico’s May 2 publication of a leaked draft of the Dobbs opinion that signaled the Supreme Court’s intent to repeal federal abortion rights. The group claimed responsibility for a fire-bombing the office of a Madison, Wisconsin pro-life organization a week after the leak. Since then, the pro-abortion collective has claimed responsibility for nearly two dozen additional attacks among the more than 100 reported by pro-life centers and places of worship, Newsweek reported in October. The attacks have ranged from graffiti and theft to arson.
Pro-life groups have slammed the response from the federal government to the attacks as utterly inadequate and have repeatedly called on the Biden administration’s Justice Department to investigate and prosecute the crimes.
“Since May, pregnancy resource centers and pro-life organizations have been threatened, vandalized, and even firebombed with Molotov cocktails,” Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts said in a Dec. 4 tweet. “It’s domestic terrorism, plain and simple.”
