The Minnesota Vikings proved they don’t just pile up victories over bad teams, after beating what some considered the best team in the NFL yesterday in spectacular fashion.

Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook, and Justin Jefferson rallied the Vikings from a 17-point deficit in Buffalo and Patrick Peterson sealed a thrilling, 33-30 overtime win over the Bills on Sunday.

In one of the wildest contests in the NFL this season, the Vikings and Bills went back and forth in the final minutes and overtime. The craziness started with Jefferson making arguably one of the greatest catches ever on 4th-and-18.

However, the Bills held on to the lead, after a goalline stand in what would seemed likely to seal the win for Buffalo. However, with their backs against the endzone, Josh Allen fumbled the snap on an attempted QB sneak and Eric Kendricks recovered in the end zone for a TD to give the Vikings a 30-27 lead with 42 seconds left.

The game still wasn’t over, however, as Allen drove the Bills in position with :37 seconds left on the clock for a game-tying field goal to force OT. Then, Cousins and Jefferson teamed up to set up Greg Joseph’s 33-yard FG in overtime. Allen once again drove the Bills down to Minnesota’s 20-yard line only to throw a pick to Peterson in the end zone to put an end to what was what many are calling the greatest game of the NFL season.

The Vikings are 8-1 and have solidified themselves as legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

Buccaneers 21 – Seahawks 16

In Munich, Germany, Tom Brady threw two touchdown passes to lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a 21-16 win over the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL’s first regular-season game in the country. Brady improved to 4-0 in international games. He’s the first quarterback in league history to win a game in four different countries — United States, England, Mexico, and Germany.

The Buccaneers improved to 5-5 and lead the NFC South. The Seahawks fell to 6-4 but still lead the NFC West.

Colts 25 – Raiders 20

In Las Vegas, Jeff Saturday won his first game as interim head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Veteran Matt Ryan returned to the starting lineup and threw for 222 yards and one TD to lead the Colts to a convincing 25-20 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Packers 31 – Cowboys 28

In Green Bay, Wis., Aaron Rodgers rallied the Packers from a 14-point deficit and Green Bay beat the Dallas Cowboys 31-28 in overtime on Mason Crosby’s 28-yard field goal. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for Rodgers and the Packers.

Cardinals 27 – Rams 17

In Los Angeles, Calif., James Conner ran two TDs and the Arizona Cardinals upset the Los Angels Rams 27-17 in a matchup featuring two backup quarterbacks. Colt McCoy threw for 238 yards in his first start of the season for the Cardinals. John Wolford started in place of Matthew Stafford as the defending Super Bowl champion Rams fell to 3-6. The Rams lost Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp to an ankle injury.

Dolphins 37 – Browns 17

In Miami Gardens, Fla., Tua Tagovailoa tossed three touchdown passes and the Miami Dolphins beat the Cleveland Browns 37-17 for their fourth straight victory. Tagovailoa is 7-0 in games he finishes and the Dolphins lead the AFC East at 7-3.

Giants 24 – Texans 16

In East Rutherford, N.J., Saquon Barkley ran for 152 yards and a score and Daniel Jones threw two TD passes to lead the New York Giants to a 24-16 victory over the Houston Texans.

The Giants (7-2) are off to their best start since 2008.

Titans 17 – Broncos 10

In Nashville, Tenn., Ryan Tannehill threw two TD passes to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, helping the Tennessee Titans overcome a 10-point deficit to beat the Denver Broncos 17-10.

The Titans have won six of seven after losing their first two games. The Broncos are just 3-6 in Russell Wilson’s first season.

Lions 31 – Bears 30

In Chicago, Ill., Jamaal Williams ran in from the 1-yard line to lift the Detroit Lions to a 31-30 comeback win against the Chicago Bears. Quarterback Justin Fields ran for 147 yards and two scores for the Bears, after rushing for 178 the previous week against Miami.

Chiefs 27 – Jaguars 17

In Kansas City, Mo., Patrick Mahomes had 331 yards passing and four TDs to help the Kansas Chiefs breeze past the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-17. The Chiefs (7-2) have the best record in the AFC.

Steelers 20 – Saints 10

In Pittsburgh, Pa., rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett and rookie receiver George Pickens each ran for 1-yard touchdowns and the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the New Orleans Saints 20-10. Reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt returned for the Steelers for the first time since tearing his left pectoral late in a Week 1 win over Cincinnati.

49ers 22 – Chargers 16

In Santa Clara, Calif., Christian McCaffrey ran in from the 2 for the go-ahead touchdown and the San Francisco 49ers beat the Los Angeles Chargers 22-16. The 49ers and Chargers are both 5-4.
