A year after Eagles coach Nick Sirianni wore a “Beat Dallas” t-shirt before a game against the Cowboys as a rookie head coach, he finally got his first win over Philadelphia’s bitter rival.
Jalen Hurts threw a pair of touchdown passes and Philadelphia remained the NFL’s only undefeated team with a 26-17 victory over the Cowboys on Sunday night.

Sirianni is now 1-2 against Dallas as the Eagles’ head coach.
“There is no doubt that this is one of the best rivalries. This feels like Auburn-Alabama. This feels like Michigan-Ohio State. That’s what this feels like,” Sirianni said.
So, of course you want to win the games against the teams in this division because, this is what is so cool about this division. These are the heated rivalries. They are heated rivalries that guys are still playing into. … Now, they all count the same. All of them count for one win. That didn’t count for two wins. That was still one win. Our next biggest game is the next one, but it’s sweet because this is a cool division to be in.
NFC East heating up
The Eagles lead a division that’s suddenly turned into the best in football. The New York Giants are 5-1 following another comeback win. Julian Love’s interception set up Saquon Barkley’s 1-yard touchdown with 1:43 to go and lifted the Giants to a 24-20 victory over Baltimore.

New York rallied from a 10-point deficit in the second half for the third time this season under rookie coach Brian Daboll.
“This league is hard. It’s not always going to be perfect. There will be a lot of people down on you,” Daboll said. “And you might be down on yourself, wish you could do better. But you keep on getting back up, you keep on swinging, keep on competing, regardless of the score or the situation of the game.”
The Cowboys are 4-2 following the loss in Philly but they have a reason for optimism. Quarterback Dak Prescott is expecting to return for the next game. They went 4-1 with backup Cooper Rush, who threw three interceptions against the Eagles.
“I never really had any doubt that the team wouldn’t do what they just did,” Prescott said.
Obviously, y’all know me, (I’m) very optimistic. Got a lot of pride in this team, know the guys that are on this team, the defense, know what Cooper is capable of. So, yeah, obviously disappointed I couldn’t be with the guys along the past five weeks. But excited to move forward and happy as hell with the position that we’re in, and we can get rolling.
Steelers 20, Buccaneers 18
Some of the NFC’s top contenders entering the season have been inconsistent six weeks in. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell to 3-3 with a 20-18 loss at Pittsburgh. Afterward, coach Todd Bowles challenged the team to stop resting on its Super Bowl victory two seasons ago.
“I think guys that are living off the Super Bowl are living in a fantasy land,” Bowles said. “You’ve gotta get your hands dirty and go to work like everybody else. We’ve been working hard and we’ve gotta work harder. Nobody’s gonna give us anything. Nobody’s gonna feel sorry. We’ve gotta go back as coaches, as players, the time for talking is over. You either gotta put up or shut up.”
Jets 27, Packers 10
The Green Bay Packers (3-3) were blown out by the New York Jets, 27-10. The Jets are off to a 4-2 start.
Rams 24, Panthers 10
The defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams rallied for a 24-10 win over Carolina to improve to 3-3. Los Angeles fell behind early when quarterback Matthew Stafford threw a pick-six in the second quarter.
