Today is Women’s Equality Day, marking the 102nd anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

As generations of women proudly reflect on those brave suffragettes who led the struggle to give them the right to vote, President Biden marked the occasion with a vow to press onward to advance transgender ideology and promote abortion on demand.

“On Women’s Equality Day, we honor the movement for universal suffrage that led to the 19th Amendment, celebrate the progress of women over the years, and renew our commitment to advancing gender equity and protecting women’s rights,” Biden declared in the second sentence of his Women’s Equality Day Proclamation.

“This commitment is more important than ever in the wake of the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and eliminate a woman’s constitutional right to choose,” he continued.

The president’s praise of the “Women and girls [who] have fought for social justice and freedom throughout our history,” however, may ring hollow to some, given that his administration and the Democratic party have arguably set the women’s movement back decades in a relatively short span of time.

The Biden administration, for example, sought to erase the biological characteristics unique to women by redefining “sex” to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” in Title IX on the anniversary of the passage of the law created to protect women from workplace discrimination.

“Instead of celebrating 50 years of accomplishments of America’s women and girls today, the Biden Administration is trying to turn back the clock and erase their existence,” Craig DeRoche, CEO and President of Family Policy Alliance, wrote at the time.

“The Administration is returning to the same debates we had 50 years ago when Biden first ran for Senate,” he added.

Biden also issued a transgender equality directive in June to allow biological men to compete in women’s sports and provide schoolboys with unfettered access to girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms.

Biden and his party of “follow the science” acolytes also seem to have forgotten what a woman actually is. All 50 Democratic senators voted against a measure to confirm that pregnancy is a condition unique to women under federal law, a statement few would have thought to be debatable just a few short years ago.

“The only people capable of being pregnant are biological females, and therefore, I think federal pregnancy programs should be limited to biological females, and that’s what this would do,” said Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), who introduced the measure.

Rubio pointed out to his Democratic colleagues that in “5,500 years of human history … every single human pregnancy has been biological[ly] female.” They clearly didn’t agree.

President Biden Supreme Court Justice appointee Ketanji Brown Jackson appeared to suffer from the same malaise when she admitted that a simple question asking her to define the term “woman” during her confirmation hearings proved too daunting a task for her to reasonably undertake.

President Biden also took the opportunity, in the second paragraph of his proclamation, to double down on his party’s assertion that the Supreme Court’s decision to give states the power to determine abortion rights is an affront to women, more recently known as “birthing people,” across the nation.

“My Administration is doing everything in its power to protect access to the reproductive health care that generations of women and activists have fought for, including abortion,” the president declared. “We will continue to defend reproductive rights, which are integral to gender equality and the fundamental freedoms Americans hold dear.”

He failed to specify, however, that the aforementioned “reproductive rights” are limited to those sanctioned by the Democratic party, as evidenced by a vigorous campaign currently underway to prevent women from seeing any information about crisis pregnancy alternatives that might lead to an informed decision, a throwback to the days when the weaker sex was universally deemed untrustworthy in terms of making complex decisions without proper guidance.

Case in point:  Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and several of her colleagues have embarked on a legislative mission to ensure that women don’t see any information about crisis pregnancy centers and other abortion alternative services in online searches, no doubt because it might confuse them and potentially – heaven forbid – distract them from making the decision to terminate their pregnancies.

Indeed, the basis of their argument is that exposing women to such information might “dissuade them from having an abortion.”

Biden concluded his proclamation with a passionate call for all Americans “to celebrate and continue to build on our country’s progress towards gender equality and to defend and strengthen the right to vote,” an apparent nod to his voting rights legislation, in case any of my fellow “birthing people” failed to catch it.
