As the European mainland was undergoing something of a societal revolution during the Protestant Reformation, a notorious English king would ascend to the throne and, at least politically, bring the Reformation to England. He would become most famous, or infamous, for his nasty habit of marrying and then either divorcing or executing multiple wives usually for reasons of convenience. Let’s explore the infamous patriarch of the Tudor dynasty, Henry VIII.
