Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, now 51,  was born in Washington, D.C. in 1970. She graduated from Harvard University in 1992 with a B.A. in Government, magna cum laude, and then earned her juris doctor, cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1996. After law school, Judge Jackson clerked for three federal judges appointed by presidents of both political parties including, Associate Justice Stephen Breyer.
