Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell created optimism in the markets yesterday by promising to more strictly monitor inflation in comments during his confirmation hearing. His intentions may be in the right place, but the question remains will the Federal Reserve have the ability or commitment to manage America’s soaring inflation.
