President Joe Biden has not been shy about his agenda on abortion in the United States. It is reported that his administration plans to expand accessibility to and legalization of any and all abortions. At the center of this agenda is the codification of Roe v. Wade, an increase of federal funding to Planned Parenthood, and the revoking of the Mexico City Policy, which prevents the US government from sponsoring foreign abortions.
This past Friday, on the 48th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, Biden tweeted from his presidential account:
As we mark the 48th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, now is the time to rededicate ourselves to the work ahead. From codifying Roe to eliminating maternal and infant health disparities, our Administration is committed to ensuring everyone has access to the health care they need.

While Biden’s supporters are joyful about his promises to legalize abortion, many Americans are outraged at Biden’s unabashed support for abortion. It is peculiar that President Biden, a man who claims to be a devout Roman Catholic, also claims that abortion should be unrestricted in the United States. Many Americans feel his religious convictions should compel him to show greater support for the pro-life cause, or at the very least, not as much jubilation at the expansion of a practice that takes the lives of literally hundreds of thousands of babies per year in the United States.
