The Coronavirus is still taking its toll on the world as more than 10 million people worldwide have tested positive for Covid-19, and over 500,000 people died from Covid-19 related cases.
In the United States alone, 2.5 million cases have been detected and over 125,000 people have died. The U.S. has been struggling to reopen some states such as Texas because of coronavirus resurgences. In fact, most states by the end of June 28 reported a rise in cases according to data collected and presented in USA Today. This data also shows that almost every state (besides Texas) is loosening their restrictions.
Worldwide, BBC presents data collected from the ECDC that shows other countries experiencing such a second wave:
By June 29th, data collected from both the EDCD and John Hopkins University shows that the U.S., Brazil, Russia, and India are the leading countries in coronavirus cases.
