A California jury on Thursday convicted former Theranos Inc President Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani of defrauding investors and patients about the blood testing startup that was once valued at $9 billion.

Art galleries across the U.K. have seen a series of protests in which climate activists are gluing themselves to famous paintings, including a copy of Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, in order to demand government action on climate change.

Corion Evans, 16, of Mississippi was hanging out with friends on the banks of the Pascagoula River in Moss Point when he witnessed a car drive off a boat launch and into the water around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. As the vehicle began to sink, Evans immediately ran over, stripping off his shoes and shirt as he plunged into the water while the car’s three teenage female occupants began shouting for help.

Ukrainian forces raised their national flag on Snake Island Thursday in a display of  continued defiance against Moscow. Andriy Yermak, the Ukrainian president’s chief of staff, hailed a video of the flag-raising as a precursor of what he expects to happen in the coming days.
