The military dictatorship in Myanmar will continue for at least another two years unless outside forces like the US or UN decide to step in and implement changes. This is because the military dictator in Myanmar, Min Aung Hlaing, has declared himself the acting Prime Minister of the country and has extended his state of emergency for at least another two years. Hlaing is also the head of the State Administration Council (SAC) which is the de facto government in Myanmar currently.

France has experienced its third week in a row of nationwide protests against the COVID-19 health pass policies instituted by President Emmanuel Macron. The US Department of Justice has sued the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, over a new executive order Abbott issued forbidding anyone except law enforcement officials from transporting illegal immigrants from the southern border in Texas.
