The G7 members met virtually on Tuesday to discuss the growing crisis in Afghanistan. The G7 countries consist of Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United States. According to reports the central discussion topic was about the upcoming evacuation deadline of August 31, 2021. This date is the original deadline President Biden set and while there has been immense pressure to extend it, such a decision has not yet been made.
