Amazon has developed a new sleep tracking technology which was approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Friday. Amazon initially filed a request for waiver with the FCC in order to get the new technology licensed and the FCC gave its approval on July 9, 2021. According to the waiver request, Amazon has indicated that the technology will track users’ movements with radar while they sleep.

European Union (EU) officials on Wednesday announced a newaction plan with the intent to make their respective countries more “green” in what they see is the fight against climate change. EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen made the announcement during a press conference presenting what is known as the European Green Deal.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday formally welcomed and opened an Israeli embassy in a move that further normalizes ties between the two nations as brokered under the Trump-era Abraham Accords. The Accords were signed in September by the UAE, Israel, and Bahrain with the intention to normalize relations between the three nations. Soon afterwards, Morocco and Sudan signed on to the Accords.
