A manhunt is still underway for the killer responsible for yesterday’s massacre in Lewiston, Maine.
Police are searching for 40-year-old Robert Card, who they say killed at least 18 people and wounded up to 60 more last night in a shooting spree spanning multiple locations including a bowling alley and a restaurant. Previously, multiple national media outlets reported the death toll at 22 and that a third shooting had occurred at a Walmart property.
Police are now working around the clock to find Card.
Police tell CNN that Card is a U.S. Army Reservist with known mental health problems and was committed to a mental health hospital earlier this year. He had also recently threatened to shoot up a National Guard station in Saco, Maine.
If Card is spotted, law enforcement urges citizens to stay away as they consider him armed and incredibly dangerous. Police are urging local residents to shelter in place and telling them to report any suspicious activity.
