A San Diego pastor has emerged on the national scene after having jumped to save a man who was losing consciousness likely induced by a drug-overdose.
Pastor Dale Huntington was getting ice cream at a market with a bunch of interns when he saw the emergency unfold. He called 911 and began performing CPR on the man who was on the verge of losing his life. While the man was eventually taken to a hospital, Huntington was greatly distraught by the event.
This motivated him to return to the market, where he gave out 20 supplies of Narcan to the surrounding businesses in case of another emergency. Narcan is a nasal spray designed to immediately reverse the effects of a fentanyl overdose.
