Bad news for summer travel plans as gas prices reached an eight-month-high Thursday.
The national average rose this morning to $3.73 a gallon. That’s a $0.15 hike from a week ago and the highest consumers have seen since November.
Thirteen states are seeing prices at $3.80 or more. In Washington and California gas is just under $5 a gallon.
The rise in prices comes after oil rose by $10 a barrel last month following OPEC production cuts.
GasBuddy recommends filling up as soon as possible, as they expect prices to continue to rise through next week.
