Planned Parenthood is calling for court packing and term limits for the Supreme Court.
The abortion giant announced their support for this radical plan yesterday. President and CEO Alexis McGill Johnson says the courts are being used “as a vehicle to advance a dangerous agenda.”
Nearly a year after the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade, the CEO now believes expanding the number of justices is the answer.
Planned Parenthood says justices hold their appointments longer than they once did, putting them out of touch with America. But three of the conservative justices were appointed under the Trump administration.
The organization also wants lower courts expanded to end single-judge court divisions. They say this allows for court shopping to find a judge to rule against abortions.
Planned Parenthood justified most of its calls by saying the federal judiciary is overburdened by a growing U.S. population.
Democrats have frequently called for court packing since last summer. But critics say this would be a blatant power grab.
