Two days into Trump’s civil fraud case in New York, presiding Judge Arthur Engoron is placing a gag order on the former president.

The move comes after Trump lashed out at the court’s top clerk on social media, calling her a “girlfriend” of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. The judge rebuked Trump, saying, “Personal attacks of any member of my court staff are unacceptable.”

Tuesday, Enogron threatened what he called “serious sanctions” if either side spoke about his staff, though he didn’t specify what those might be. Trump later deleted the post.

This comes as Trump has told reporters he plans to testify in the case “at the appropriate time.”

Prosecutors are also seeking testimony from Trump’s three oldest children as well as former Trump Attorney Michael Cohen and former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg, among others.
