Abortion activists sadly saw a major win in Kansas yesterday, as a judge put a pause on a new state rule limiting abortion and overruled restrictions that have been in place for over 25 years.

The ruling says doctors are no longer required to tell their patients that abortions can be stopped or reversed nor inform their patients on what the abortion procedure would entail.

The district judge instead said that much of this given information is “inconsistent with generally accepted science.” Finally, the order also gets rid of the 24-hour mandatory waiting period for the abortion pill, a law that has been in effect since 1997.

A spokeswoman for Kansans for Life condemned the ruling, saying it leaves women seeking abortions more vulnerable than ever. She said, “This is a nightmare for women and a dream come true for the profit-driven abortion industry.”
