Hamas has now released its second pair of hostages.
Nurit Cooper and Yocheved Lifshitz are two elderly Israeli women taken hostage on Oct. 7 during the Hamas terror attacks. Their husbands are still in captivity. Lifshitz described the situation as going “through hell.”
Once in Gaza, she was taken underground into Hamas’ mass network of Terror tunnels. Despite the horrors of the kidnapping, Lifshitz says she was treated surprisingly well by her captors, saying they offered medical care and “met all our needs.”
So far, Hamas has released four out of an estimated 220 hostages, likely in an effort to stall Israel’s anticipated ground invasion. Earlier today, Israel dropped leaflets into Gaza offering rewards to any Palestinian who has information about the hostages.
