With a record number of illegal immigrants having crossed the border this year, even Democrats are now raising the alarm.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has repeated her calls for illegal immigrants to go somewhere else but stopped short of calling for a stronger border policy.
This comes as New York City is being overwhelmed with illegal immigrants and as Mayor Eric Adams continued to warn that the migrant crisis could destroy the city.
Meanwhile, on the West Coast, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass blames the situation on Republicans but says she fears the day migrants begin showing up in her city.
Her concerns aren’t without merit. As the crisis continues, border states are desperate to offload the overwhelming numbers of migrants.
This fiscal year alone, border security agents have encountered nearly 2.9 million migrants, the highest number in U.S. history.
