President Joe Biden is asking for Ukraine and Israel to be granted more U.S. support. Giving a prime-time address Thursday night, the president denounced both Hamas terror attacks in Israel and Russia’s war in Ukraine.
Biden is now calling for $14 billion to help Israel and a much larger $60 billion funding package for Ukraine.
This comes as Biden recently announced a $100 million humanitarian aid package for Gaza. Biden is also asking for $13 billion for border protection and $10 billion for humanitarian assistance.
But it might take some time for the funds to be approved by Congress as the House Representatives still struggles to find a new speaker.
