In Houston, a developer has been accused of selling land to illegal immigrants without requiring any paperwork.

It is alleged that William Trey Harris has been selling sections of Colony Ridge to border crossers without checking income and credit requirements. While the cheap offer has drawn in thousands of illegal immigrants, it has also created a hotbed for cartel activities.

At the same time, experts are saying that the new immigrant town is partially responsible for the roughly 27% growth in border crossings this past summer. J. Michael Waller, senior strategy analyst at the Center for Security Policy, said that Colony Ridge “is simply symptomatic of the destruction of our country.”
