A conservative think tank is sounding the alarm on diversity, equity, and inclusion training at an Arizona college.

The Goldwater Institute says Arizona State University is requiring employees to go through, in their words, cancerous and illegal DEI training.

Arizona lawmakers passed a law last year banning the use of taxpayer money for “blame and judgment” DEI training. This was defined as anything that teaches inherent or unconscious racism or sexism.

In a related but separate alleged violation, the university currently requires students to take a DEI course at the top-rated Cronkite School of Journalism. However, the college refuses to publicly release the course syllabi and has slow-walked or outright ignored requests to hand over public records.

The Goldwater Institute demanded last week the Board of Regents step in to stop the illegal use of public money. If not, they’ve promised to sue the university.
