One pastor shines as an example of faith after a tragedy.
Chad Scruggs, the senior pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, lost his only daughter in the tragic Nashville school shooting on March 27.
Scruggs had been absent in the pulpit as his family grieved, but he’s returned for the past two Sundays.
His first sermon was appropriately titled “Loss and Gain.” He spoke on how Christ’s death means relationships aren’t severed by loss. Instead, the family is expanded through the church community.
The pastor also thanked the Covenant community for never making them feel alone in their grief.
This comes as even after two months, the FBI and police still have not publicly released shooter Audrey Hale’s motives or manifesto.
