Emergency calls released yesterday now reveal the mother of the 25-year-old Louisville shooter had frantically called 911 to report her son’s intentions

She told the operator she had heard from her son’s roommate that he had left a note indicating he had a gun and was heading toward the bank. Per the recording, the mother said “he’s never hurt anyone” and questioned how her son got a gun.

The family said he had suffered from mental health issues that they had been “actively addressing” before his rampage.

Police identified the shooter as Connor Sturgeon. He was killed by police on Monday, but not before he killed five people and wounded nine others.
