This past weekend, conservative Christian analyst Allie Beth Stuckey, host of the daily talk show “Relatable” on Blaze TV, shared a lengthy Twitter thread summarizing the appropriate Christian response to the political tension of the day.

In summation, Stuckey argues that the Christian worldview, not a mere conservative or “pro-America” position, is the only weapon that can defeat the radically anti-Christian agenda of the left.

She continued with this narrative, saying,

God is a God of order, and progressivism constantly seeks disorder. Christians are always to be agents of order, in every place & age. Therefore we will always be — & rightly so — enemies of progressive ideology. So — while I am happy to link arms with people of all backgrounds to push back against the chaos of today’s leftist lunacy, at the end of the day, simple anti-wokism will never, ever be a match for the threat this ideology poses. No secular movement will.

Author’s Analysis:

In 21st-century America, the majority of biblically-faithful Christians would agree that they generally vote conservative, lean conservative in viewpoints, and support the conservative political faction.

Many Christians have wrestled with this thought in light of that notion: How much should we propagate the conservative position as a whole? Should we find our identity in our conservative policies?

Here is the truth that Stuckey so brilliantly described: The Christian worldview must define one’s political position.

Christians should hate abortion, not merely because we are conservative, but because God hates abortion and loves life.

Christians should fight for the protection of traditional, one-man, one-woman marriage and family structures, not merely because we are conservative, but because traditional marriage is what the Word of God has ordained, and anything else is a sinful perversion.

Christians should support non-invasive government, not merely because we are pro-freedom, but because we know (and history has shown) that an overreaching government is a threat to the purity of the Church for whom the Lord Jesus died.

On the flip side, Christians must never hold to a political position out of blind devotion to a party. God must be first in all things. If our party of preference ever goes against the Bible or the character of God, we must follow Him and Him alone. We must constantly go back to the Bible and seek Christ’s face as we wrestle with the things of this world.

In an ever-increasing age of hostility towards Christianity, the Church must be ready to stand and fight for the truth, not for the sake of any political kingdom or world system, but for the sake of our Lord.
