President Joe Biden is one of the least popular presidents in the history of the nation, with record-low approval reports, press conferences full of gaffes and misquotes, and an economy on the verge of recession under his watch. It is no surprise, therefore, that many who elected the 46th president are now feeling “voters’ remorse.” On Monday, three women who voted for Biden in the 2020 election shared their displeasure with the president and their regret for having voted for him.

Mikaela King, Natalya Murakhver, and Marissa Caro-Cortese, three mothers who identify politically as liberal, went on Fox and Friends on Monday to share how they felt lied to by the president and were ultimately fooled into voting for a man who was incapable of delivering on his lofty campaign promises.

King said, “From my perspective, my personal experience, he’s made it a whole lot worse for people like me who voted for him. So I feel not only embarrassed, but I just feel very manipulated by… social media portraying him as someone who is going to fix the country.”

Caro Cortese shared her thoughts, saying, “President Biden was this funny, cool guy, but the funny old guy, Uncle Joe, that everybody calls him. So, when he was up for election, we’re like, how bad can he possibly be? Sure, he’s not really an effective legislator if you look back on his track record. But we were told by the DNC, by everybody else, he’s going to be fine. He’s going to push a progressive agenda. He’s going to check all the boxes that all of you are thinking about, and he’s going to be one of the most progressive leaders in history, and none of that has come true.”

Murakhver added her frustration at the president’s action regarding the reopening of schools after the COVID-19 pandemic. She said, “I’m a lifelong Democrat, I voted for Biden. I believed him when he said that… kids would be back to normal and school would be fully reopened within the first hundred days. Here we are, a year and a half into his presidency, and in blue areas like where I live in New York City, kids are far from normal. There is no attempt to even try to restore normalcy for these kids.”

A recent New York Times poll revealed that Biden faces “an alarming level of doubt from inside his own party, with 64 percent of Democratic voters saying they would prefer a new standard-bearer in the 2024 presidential campaign.” It additionally shows that only 33% of Americans approve of his job as president and 39% saying they have a favorable impression of him as a person.
