It is no secret that many Americans are disgusted with President Joe Biden’s job performance after his first year in office. A new poll reveals another category of America citizens who are fed up with the 46th president – African American protestant Christians.

The study was completed by Pew Research in January of this year. It revealed a shocking drop of almost 30 percentage points among black protestant Christians, a group that overwhelming supported Biden’s inauguration and has historically been pro-Democrat in the last few presidential elections.

The study revealed that in the months immediately following Biden’s inauguration, his approval among black Protestants was a hefty 92%. This is no surprise considering 91% of black Protestants voted for the president in 2020.

But in 2022, the president’s popularity among Protestant African Americans has plummeted dramatically. Only 65% of black Protestants still support the president, adding further proof to a nationwide frustration with the Biden Administration.

Additionally, Roman Catholics are also growing more disillusioned with the president, a man who claims fidelity to the Roman Catholic Church. 56% of Catholics approved of the president’s job rating at the beginning of his term, but now only 46% of Catholics approve.

Additionally, the number of white evangelical Christians approving Biden has fallen. It was low to begin with, at 22% in the early 2021, but it has fallen now to roughly 14%. For white protestant Christians in general, that number has fallen from 40% in early 2021 to 31% in 2022.
