The CDC has ordered an eviction ban through October 3rd in counties experiencing “substantial and high levels of community” spread, which would currently include nearly 90% of the US population.

CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky signed the order on Tuesday to “prevent the spread of communicable disease” claiming it was necessary in order to keep “people out of congregate settings and in their own homes.” The order also says that this will “allow additional time for rent relief to reach renters and to further increase vaccination rates.” Landlords who violate the order can face up to $250,000 in fines and year in jail.

New dating apps pop up every day for niche groups of singles: from farmers, to Christians, to retirees. The newest (albeit incredibly short lived) app “Unjected” was created as a hybrid social and dating app for those who support “medical autonomy and free speech”, and “believing in true science and the scientific method.” Unjected also aimed to connect users to businesses that share a similar stance on being anti-vax.

Germany and India became the most recent nations to announce that they will be sending naval ships to the South China Sea, seemingly in response to China’s claim of sovereignty over much of the 1.3 million square mile waterway. Germany said that they want to “show more of a presence in the Indo-Pacific region.” Meanwhile, India said they would be sending four warships for a two month deployment to take part in exercises with several countries including the US, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia.
