The investigation and eventual conviction of former USA Gymnastics physician Lawrence Nassar for the sexual abuse of US gymnasts along with the creation and possession of child pornography rocked the country in 2018. Now, the Inspector General, the governmental watchdog for the US Department of Justice, is saying that the FBI made “fundamental errors” when investigating and prosecuting the Nassar case. Indeed, the investigative misconduct was so extreme that the attorneys for Nassar’s victims are considering bringing criminal charges against the FBI agents who were involved with and carried out the botched investigation.

Amazon has developed a new sleep tracking technology which was approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Friday. Amazon initially filed a request for waiver with the FCC in order to get the new technology licensed and the FCC gave its approval on July 9, 2021. According to the waiver request, Amazon has indicated that the technology will track users’ movements with radar while they sleep.
