Protestors in southern Florida disrupted traffic on Tuesday when a large group demonstrated in the streets of Miami, stopping a section of the Miami Dade highway, with demands that President Biden help the Cuban people in their ongoing protest against their communist government.
European Union (EU) officials on Wednesday announced a newaction plan with the intent to make their respective countries more “green” in what they see is the fight against climate change. EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen made the announcement during a press conference presenting what is known as the European Green Deal.

The brutal heatwave and drought continues to oppress the Western United States and the situation is only getting worse as wildfires have begun to tear through the region. The largest wildfire is near Doyle, California spanning close to 90,000 acres but there are a number of other smaller fires across California, Nevada, Arizona, and Idaho. Thus far two firefighters have died in Arizona and in Idaho the governor has activated the National Guard to be on alert in order to assist firefighters.
